IoT SIM for GPS trackers

Short answer

An IoT SIM for GPS trackers fits the most-used hardware on the market (Teltonika FMB, FMC, FMM, Queclink GV-series, Concox, Ruptela, Meitrack…), pushes AVL traffic to your backend in any country, and handles typical tracking volumes (10-50 MB/SIM/month) without roaming surcharges. No minimum term, fleet-aggregated billing, and one portal to activate/deactivate SIMs as the fleet rotates.

Hardware fit

We work with any industrial 2G/4G/LTE-M model that accepts a standard 2FF, 3FF, or 4FF SIM. Our most common deployments use Teltonika FMB920/FMC130/FMM150, Queclink GV-series, Concox JV, and Ruptela FM-Eco. If your OEM has specific permanent-roaming firmware, even better — all our SIMs assume it.

  • Multi-vendor support (Teltonika, Queclink, Concox, Ruptela…)
  • 2G fallback in countries without 4G LTE coverage
  • Multi-carrier for mixed rural/urban areas
  • Optional static IP for tracker access

Typical fleet plan

For a mixed fleet (vehicles across Spain + Portugal + France, with occasional trips elsewhere), the typical plan aggregates 10-50 MB/SIM/month. With multi-carrier switching, coverage matches the leading operator in each country, with no border-crossing surcharges. If a SIM goes dormant (parked vehicle), it doesn't generate fixed cost beyond the plan minimum.

Why the SIM matters, not just the tracker

The fanciest tracker loses value if the SIM can't reach where the vehicle goes. Cases where SIM choice matters: vehicles at border crossings (automatic handover without dropping), underground parking (multi-carrier picks better coverage), rural areas with uneven per-operator coverage, and rare-but-real stops in countries without a single-operator agreement.

Frequently asked questions

Does it support the AT commands my tracker sends at boot?+

Yes. No firmware changes on the tracker. You set the APN (delivered in the portal) and the tracker boots as with any SIM.

How much does a typical tracker consume?+

Between 5 and 50 MB/SIM/month depending on report frequency (every 30 sec vs every 5 min), whether it sends vehicle events, and whether it pushes images/video. We help size the plan in the validation session.

Static IP to reach the tracker remotely?+

Yes, optional per SIM. Useful if you want to SSH in or hit Teltonika's management UI for remote diagnostics.

What happens when the SIM crosses into a non-EU country?+

Keeps working on the same aggregated plan, no surcharges or renegotiation. The monthly invoice shows a per-country breakdown so you can track consumption.
